班夫山地电影节书展评比入围书单出炉
从探险和旅行的回忆录到登山小说，从攀登指导手册到荒野诗歌，班夫山地电影节书展作品囊括众多形式和体裁的山地作品，自1995年起，每年举行盛会庆祝最佳户外探险文学作品的诞生。2016年9月14日，星期三，班夫山地书展公布了2016年评比出的最终入围书单。
评审团成员有加拿大作家和评论家Harry Vandervlist，美国滑雪运动员Hilaree O’Neil和英裔澳大利亚登山家Paul Pritchard，他们从147份参选作品中选出了最终入围的书单。“我们很高兴每一个类别的书籍每一年都有质和量的增长”班夫山地电影节和书展的项目导演Joanna Croston在他们的网站上表示，“但这样一来，对于预审委员会的评选和筛选难度则加大了，评选出最终入围书单绝非易事。”
每个类别的赢家（将会在10月份公布）将会获得2000加币的奖金并有资格参加特等奖（特等奖将于11月3日公布，奖金4000加币）的评比。
Rock and Ice在今年的评比中有三部作品入围最终书单，分别是：“Searching for Superman”，作者Jeff Long，2016年发表在Ascent上；“Stealing Toni Egger”，作者Ed Douglas, 2015年8月发表在Rock and Ice第228期；“the Black Heart of That Monster”,作者David Roberts，2016年发表在Ascent上。三部作品都是探险旅行一类。David Roberts和Jeff Long都是特等奖的获得者，分别是在2003年和2006年。
